My story isn't very intresting, I've been on dA for seven years drawing for five. Which figuring that out and writing it down is CRAZY! I cannot believe I've been here that long and evolved so much, both as an artist and a person. How I found dA was through google, which I'm sure is how alot of us found it. I was looking for Harry Potter stuff, marauders in particular, and I stumbled upon some fanart on a site called Deviantart, and as I looked around there was more and more, the more I was hooked. It didn't take me very long to make a account, I was Padfoot74 then, and start favoriting things. When I first started dA I hardly ever commented on things, I'm pretty shy when it comes to people I don't know, but eventually I got over it. I even made Padfoot7411, sometime after so I was over 18 (oops sorry dA about lying xD), because dA used to have stupid blocks on stuff over 18 and most of the stuff that was blocked had no reason to be xD.
As time passed by I was looking up other things and faving them just doing the usually dA thing, then it happened, I stepped into the equine world, all thanks to abosz007
and his handsome horse Sirius (which I bet you can figure out how I stumbled across him). And I was hooked, Cursey was the first equine artist I watched, might even be the first person I watched. I still wasn't drawing at this point but I was drawn into the equine community, he started the equine drive then there were more silverglass19 MichelleWalker Black-Heart-Always
and so many others followed, they were drawing comics and stories all for these characters they had made which fascinated me, to see these people bring their characters to life. And then came HARPG...
Which honestly sealed the deal for me, it was crazy to watch most of the equine artists I had been watching change their characters into other things as well as make new ones. I started to watch more people as time ticked by noblestallion Jullelin
and so sooo many others, there are really too many to list you should see my watch list...it's terribly long. Still wasn't drawing by now, where are we at around late '08? But I was coloring linearts by now in artweaver for that matter, and I had decided that I wanted to buy a tablet to attempt to draw, so inspired by everyone I was watching I was dying to try it. So I saved up some money and bought the cheapest tablet I could find, which was a Bamboo tablet with PS Elements 6. It blew me away with PS could do and how easy a tablet was to move and that Christmas in '08 I drew fanart, which is why I always draw so much at Christmas since it's sorta my dA drawing anniversary as well xD.
Then I started HARPG, well not totally because I was still using linearts for my refs but I was drawing and it was crazy and I figured out how hard it was to explain to people that I drew art on the computer...But eventually as time ticked by I got quite a few people into doing it kat8674
now are drawing because of me (Sorry I'm not sorry you guys xD)
Now we're here all that time as passed in 2014, which is really mind blowing so much has happened and so many of us have come and gone, breeds have come and gone. And here the equine community still stands, HARPG is still here and hopefully it stays a good long while, cause I kinda like it here, with all the friends I have who share a common bond with drawing little pixels in the shapes of some of the prettiest horses I have ever seen. The people I know on dA, who I now talk to almost every single day on Skype, will be my friends for the rest of my life and I love them all dearly and I have dA to thank for that
Here's to another seven years, and even more after
