If I Lose Myself

The beginning of Jazzy and Sea's Olympic journey! Wish them luck!!! I am so proud of them for getting here! It's amazing to see how far she's come in the little time I have owned her. This probably was the hardest of the three pieces, it just looked so plain compared to the rest so in a final effort I tried to add some color...hopefully it helped xD.

With a deep breath Jazzy entered the arena, she had never seen such a beautiful place. She felt a little like a mermaid being underneath the water, watching it's reflections dance across the sandy floor below. Her heart pounded in her chest as she halted in the center. Sea underneath her quivered, this was the big time the mare could tell. This was the first event of three that they would have to show all they had. It was a start of a ruthless couple days that would test their strength and stamina. Jazzy just hoped they came out proud, no matter the place.

They represented the name of Dragon Knight Stables and Jazzy wanted to make everyone back home proud. They would be watching her now, the new family she had, cheering for her. She had traveled, run away from the boring life she had lived, she'd never even ridden a horse before she showed up at DKS' doorstep. And underneath her was the horse that had allowed her to be whoever she wanted. She owed it to Sea to hold all her worries in and give her all she had.

When the music started though, all of it faded away, there was no fear or worry. It was simply her and Sea dancing along, like they always did. They couldn't hear the crowd, or the clicks of cameras. Only the beating of their own hearts to the rhythm of the music. It felt like there was nothing beyond the arena, that it was simply being out in a pasture or even at home in the arena just working on a daily routine.

The dance started slow, opening with a collected walk but as the music picked up it extended into an trot, and from there it flowed into the music almost like a dance. It weaved and flowed with the music as the beats picked up and changed. Sea continued her dance, following Jazzy's commands, doing all she could to show off just how lovely she and her rider were. True to her Obertaurer heritage, she held herself and her rider in high regard. None was better than Jazzy, and Sea was determined to show them all that. This was a show of beauty, and none was more beautiful than them.

In the end, it didn't matter what they placed or what others thought. Jazzy knew they had done all they could, been as beautiful and perfect as they could have been. With the first event done she could breath easy, if this was the amount of skill she could show the rest would fall into place.
