And the next piece for Outlaw trail! Story isn’t too great but at least it’s somewhat funny.
*A Few Year Prior*
DKS was slowly starting to grow, they had a decent band of horses, just starting out. Morrigan was flipping through a newspaper in the small hotel room she stayed in while the house on DKS grounds was being renovated. They needed an all around horse, who would do most of the day to day riding at DKS, checking grounds and fences just a plain ole cow pony really.
Sliver Stallion For Sale
Nine year old stallion for sale, named Rango. He’s an all around great horse. Good ground manners and loves to please. Great for any horse rider, great ranch horse. </b>
Calls were made and Morrigan went out the next day to look. He fit in perfectly with what she had planned for him, he’d be great for mundane day to day tasks. Maybe some showing if he worked out well. While loading him into the trailer the man chuckled “Though miss, I hope you won’t be using him for cattle.”
“It’s not a likely predicament, though may I ask why?” The man laughed, “Rango here hates cattle.”
*Present day*
“Oh come of it Lestrade,” Kerrigan grumbled as he nudged Lestrade back into position, the cattle forming in front of him. “You’re a quarter horse for Heaven’s sake! You’re breed to do this!” Lestrade just snorted and threw his head up, eying the loud and unruly creatures beside him. He dared one of them to take off. Cattle were noisy and boring, constantly needing attention to know where to go. Lestrade didn’t have the time of day to deal with them, not when trouble could be around any corner and he didn’t need to worry about keeping them in control while keeping an eye on his rider.
After a few hours of riding Kerrigan decided that it wasn’t in Lestrade’s blood to wrangle cattle. At least Lestrade’s drive to please was higher than his hatred for the cows. “Not your division, eh buddy?”
Lestrade just snorted and kept moving forward the quicker they got there the quicker he could rid himself of his burdens.
